"Great Expectations" is the 2012 remake of the classic Charles Dickens novel about a young man named Pip, who sought to move up in society as a gentleman. As a young boy Pip gets a glimpse of the upper class lifestyle by way of Miss Havisham, a bitter spinster, who invites him over to her decaying mansion to play with her adopted daughter Estella.

Miss Havisham has taught Estella from a young age to be a bitter young woman, who hates men. Nonetheless, something blossoms between Estella and Pip, but doesn't go according to plan. "Great Expectations" should be a reminder to people not to get caught up in the juggernaut that is the class system and not to covet wealth.
