"Midnight in the Switchgrass" starring Megan Fox and
Bruce Willis was a strange serial killer film. Fox and Willis play
FBI agents in a film that has been savaged by critics. Fox is not
believable as a cop.
It's hard to believe this film was released in movie
theatres, where it understandably flopped. It made $5,000,000
against a $10,000,000 budget (not to mention added marketing and
The film is said to be based on a true story, but
they did not do it justice. It is clear they've added a lot of
fiction to it.
"Midnight in the Switchgrass" has that b-film/Lifetime
cable movie feel to it, due to its less than stellar script, poor
lighting, bad sets, weak acting and overall corniness. It was a
creepy film that bashed Christianity and audiences were having none
Even rapper-turned-actor, Machine Gun Kelly, real
name Colson Baker, who makes an appearance in the film, where he
tackily punches Fox in the gut and she beats him up, slammed the
project before its release and refused to promote it. That was
unprofessional. However, the film is not very good.
The lines and acting in "Midnight in the Switchgrass"
were very poor. The film does not live up to the publicity of his
and Fox's off-screen antics.
Fox so unwisely cheated on her husband of 13-years,
Brian Austin Green, with Machine Gun Kelly, plunging the couple's
three kids in a scandal and tug of war that has been playing out on
social networking and in the press.
People had this impression that "Midnight in the
Switchgrass" must be an exciting film for those two to have started
dating. However, the film is weak and painfully awkward. I can't
believe she ruined her marriage for this (not that there is a good
reason to ruin one's marriage because there is not). Fox needs to go
home to her family and stop trying to recapture her youth with
Machine Gun Kelly.
