"Mud" starring Matthew McConaughey is an gritty film about a fugitive, who befriends two teen boys in Mississippi. I know what you're thinking. Two teens and a grown man doesn't sound right, but thankfully it's not that kind of film.

McConaughey does a good job portraying the distant character "Mud." He enlists them to help him fix a boat to make an escape. They bring him parts for the boat, as well as food for himself. However, in the end it is Mud, who helps one of them. There are two main story lines running in this film but they have similarities in common.
