"The Expendables" is an overblown action film that is all guns and no substance. It features a host of celebrities, covering just about every action star in the genre, yet still manages to say very little, while remaining very violent.

And when I state violent, I mean gratuitous violence everywhere. One can argue it is the genre, but after a while it gets very trite. The sacrilegious film contains swearing in a church and other unnecessary items that are a turn off.
