"The Purge" is a creepy, violent movie about a weird society, where the government allots citizens one night to commit any crime they want, including murder, to allegedly purge the nation of its sins, which is total baloney. I know movies are fantasy, but it doesn't even work in this film, as the premise is executed in a manner that it is downright strange, deranged and borderline racist.

A group of mentally ill people hunt a black homeless man to slaughter him as their yearly "purge." However, their plan is foiled when a young, white teenage boy feels sympathy for his plight and allows him safe refuge in his family's home that has a state-of-the-art security system. The family are then forced to choose.
