The Wolverine is another film in the successful X-Men franchise. Yashida, an old man obsessed with youth and resentful of growing old hatches an evil plan to sap Logan, also known as Wolverine of his power, youth and strength. He goes to great extremes to put the plan in motion.

I like Wolverine and all but I just realized the character has a jacked up haircut (kidding)

Rather than being grateful that Wolverine saved his life when they were younger in a POW camp close to Nagasaki, he becomes obsessed with the super heroes inability to age, coveting his gifts. This leads to an elaborate scheme to lure Wolverine into a trap to steal his powers and destroy him.

This is the most violent of the X-Men films with the most unusual special EFX. The supporting characters are not as strong as they usually are in X-Men films, leaving Wolverine to carry the whole film. While this film was entertaining, it was quite dark, which is uncharacteristic for X-Men films.
