Recently, I saw the film Walle on TV and it was overrated. It is an animated CGI film about a robot sent to earth, to clean up the mounting garbage, in an attempt at making the planet inhabitable again.

During his clean up mission, he meets another robot, who is a girl named Eva. Walle falls in love. Eva could care less. Together, they work to rush a earth sample to a spaceship hovering in space, carrying surviving humans, whilst catering to their every whim.

This film tried to be political and socially conscious, in pushing the popular "green" message. The CGI and animation was well done, but the movie didnít really appeal to me and itís not that I do not enjoy animation.

There are animated films I like, but Walle certainly isnít a favorite. Great animation and a weak story line do not equal cinematic art. Walle gave a commercialized look at the future that wasnít exactly promising.

As I've stated before, Walle is a rip off of Johnny 5 from the movie "Short Circuit." This unauthorized reboot had its moments, but it did not live up to the hype.
